Thnks Fr Th Mmrs

Josh makes me laugh. And to prove it, I'm going to give you 2 examples of him making me laugh this week. So on Tuesday evening I wanted to watch the new episode of "19 Kids and Counting" but it was NOT HAPPENING b/c Josh absolutely had to see the 3-hour season premier of "Lost". (A few months ago he watched all the old episodes on Hulu, and so he's REALLY into it now.) So I wasn't exactly watching it with him, but I was in and out and I saw bits and pieces. (Enough to know it's the most convoluted thing I've ever heard of.) So here's the conversation we had later that night:

Josh: "So what did you think of 'Lost'?"

Betsey: "I think it makes absolutely no sense."

Josh: "It makes more sense than the Duggars."

Ha! I'm still trying to figure out if that's an overstatement or an understatement.

OK here's example #2. This morning for some reason we were talking about fame and what it would be like to be famous...

Betsey: "I think being famous would be awful. But I would enjoy having all that money."

Josh: "Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to enjoy your money if you were famous. Famous people can't just go out to the mall and... buy a big cookie."

???

I don't know. It made me laugh. So this week I was disappointed to find out that Fall Out Boy is no more. They were my favorite. : (

What do I love most about Fall Out Boy? I would have to say:

(a) How pretty the lead singer's voice is. (And no Pete Wentz is not the lead singer, he's just the fame-whoring bassist. The lead singer is the cute little redheaded guy on the right.)

(b) How they kept changing and getting better with each new album.

But all good things must come to an end... So in honor of the end of Fall Out Boy, I have compiled a list of my top 10 favorite quotes from FOB songs. Enjoy!

#10
I'm a stitch away from making it
And a scar away from falling apart, apart
Blood cells pixelate
And eyes dilate
And the full moon feel's got me out on the street at night

#9
You say your head can be a prison
And these are just conjugal visits

#8
I only think in the form of crunching numbers
In hotel rooms collecting paychecks and lovers

#7
We're the new face of failure
Prettier and younger but not any better off
Bullet-proof loneliness at best
At best

#6
If I could move
It would only be to crawl back to you

#5
So hum hallelujah
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light
A teenage vow in a parking lot
Til tonight do us part
I sing the blues and swallow them too

#4
The best way to make it through
With hearts and wrists in tact
Is to realize 2 outta 3 ain't bad
Ain't bad

#3
I've got troubled thoughts
And the self-esteem to match
What a catch
What a catch

#2
I'm a loose bolt of a complete machine
What a match, I am half-doomed
And you're semi-sweet
So boycott love
Detox just to retox
I'd promise you anything for another shot at life
Imperfect boys with their perfect ploys
Nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy

#1
I don't care what you think
As long as it's about me
The best of us can find happiness in misery

Well, I hope you enjoyed that little walk down emo lane. I know I did!

I agree with Josh. Love some LOST. Don't really get the Duggars.

Sorry to hear Fall Out Boy fell apart. :(

Yes. You'd lose the ability to buy a large cookie at the mall. Or to go to Kroger by yourself. Everyone loves Krogering.
