Josh planted me a ton of basil this year so that I could make a bunch of pesto for us to freeze and eat throughout the year. I didn't use all of the basil (and sadly, the drought has claimed what I didn't get to), but I did make about 8 batches.
This is enough leaves for about 3 batches. Each batch ends up being about 1 cup.
Basil, garlic, pine nuts, parmesan, salt, and olive oil.
Tossed with spaghetti and plated up with some sausage & peppers. This is a man-pleasing plate of food for sure.
